 She looked confused. “What?” I sighed, frustrated. “You step onto to the lower sword,” I explained. “Then you step onto the higher one. Then you pulled out the lower sword and wedge into the wall right above you. You do this until you reach the top. Get it?” Realization spread across her face. She started to climb. As she did, she said, “That tiger was weird. That black smoke…like a flash of light, then, darkness.” I thought about that. After she got to the top, she tossed the swords down. I came up slowly with Jason. The trees were waiting.
