29th Street

Written by Brynlee for the 100 word challenge

The rumor about the hidden witch on 29th street has spread across the neighborhood quickly in the past few days. They say that anyone that goes to the fence in front of her house disappears forever. I wanted to see if there really was witch on 29th street, so road my bike over to 29th street. And there, in front of me was a fence with 1/3 of it missing, and a sign that read “29”. I slowly walked in between the two parts of the fence to see what would happen, and right when I got to the other side of the fence, I disappeared and reappeared in a hole other world. There were lakes, waterfalls, fairiesand a house. A witch’s house…

The end of Quarterwise pt2

Written by Nathan for the 100 word challenge

After Quarterwise threw Benny in, Penny took out a ray blaster and shot the laser at Quarterwise, and he went right into the black hole. After Quarterwise fell in, Penny led us to their guest house with a gate that had the number 29 on it. It was almost big as the actual house. After we ate dinner, we got in bed bucasue it got really late. I finally fell asleep and 3 in the moring because I could not sleep the whole night, but at 5:30, I saw a figure that oddly looked like Quarterwise.

Walking Down 29th Street

Written by Evan for the 100 word challenge

Hi, I am Bob, I am on a mission to walk down 29th Street. Many people said that 29th street is a haunted street with tigers. So, today is the day I complete a mission, I will run down 29th street. People will stand across the street and watch me run through, so they know that I didn’t cheat. When I got to 29th street, I saw how long the streets were and how tall the buildings wereI didn’t feel like running at all, But I ran as fast as I could until I saw a tiger that opened its mouth waiting………..

A Battle to Survive (Part Nineteen)

Written by Caden for the 100 word challenge

As the tiger attacked us, I had a flash back to when we lived in Colorado on 29 East Mohamad Road. A pack of wolves had gotten into our backyard and cornered me and my mom. Then our neighbor came yelling and waving hose at the wolves. After they left, we never saw a wolf again. I was pulled back into the present when Jason was knocked away and hit a wall. His head was swollen. Kaye was shooting arrows at the tiger with no effect. All my anger boiled inside me, and I charged, yelling and screaming defiantly.

A New Chapter

Written by Maddox for the 100 word challenge

When I was on walk, I saw a sign saying 29. But there was no fence, or part of a fence. I tried to investigate I saw the fence all the way over in the bushes. I wondered  why is the fence in the bushes , I thought. I kept walking until I saw two people flying. One guy was wearing I dark suit, he or she was fighting a person in a blue suit. As I watched, I thought why am I staying here? When I saw him throw blue suit guy to the ground, he yelled out “No one tries to fight me, Blu..” He looked in my way, I ran, but it was too late.

Worm Hole 29

Written by Jaylen for the 100 word challenge

February 29, 2024, 3:24 pm

Today has gone off to a weird start. First, we just came back from school and its 11:56. Which is weird because we usually come home at 3:00. Second when I was coming home on my bike I saw the number, 29 with a gate that appears to be cut in half!

February 29, 2024, 3:45pm

I had the guts to go and explore the gate with the number 29 on it. I grabbed my watch and set a timer for 30 minutes, then headed out. When I came out it was February 29, 2044, 3:45pm!!! But my watch said the timer was still at 30 minutes!!!

 My Birthday!!

Written by Raiya for the 100 word challenge

Happy Birthday!” everyone shouted. After we ate cake, everyone soon left our house, Number 29.” Why are you missing half of your fence?” my cousin asked me. “Well, we don’t know, it was like that when we bought it” I responded. She nodded her head and ran out to the car. “Hmm, I never thought about the gate before” I thought. I went to go take a closer look, and when I opened the gate, I found a note saying, “BEWARE FOR THIS GATE IS A CURSE, To Break the CURSE YOU Must…” that’s when I realized the page was ripped!

The Mysterious House

Written by Alicia for the 100 word challenge

Today was my best friend’s birthday party, Mikayla. AI read the invitation, I looked at the address written, but didn’t recognize itI told my mom and we searched it up, ready to drive there. Soon after we arrived, I noticed this gate that had missing fences and a number 29. I thought nothing of it and we drove closer, making it easier to see it. At first, I thought I was going crazy, but I wasn’t. I just decided to walk up the house and ring the doorbell. Seconds later someone opened the door, creaking as it opened…

The Torn-Up House

Written by Marty for the 100 word challenge

On a cold Sunday morning, there was a torn-up house, where the old lady lived. Many people around town called her a scary old witch. The house looked very ugly and old. It was on 29th street. The whole fence was gone. Inside the house lived an old lady named Miss Iris. She was a good cook, but many people did not know that. An 8-year-old boy named Andrew felt bad for Miss Iris. He thought Miss Iris was lonely. One day, Andrew decided to visit Miss Iris to say hello and bring her flowers. He was surprised about how friendly she was to him. He had a great time with her. They played games, talked and baked cookies. Andrew truly learned to ‘’Never Judge a Book by Its Cover.’’
